Troy, Mich.—November 1, 2024—Intellectual property law firm Fishman Stewart PLLC is pleased to announce that two firm attorneys have been recognized as DBusiness Top Lawyers for 2025.  To compile its annual list, the magazine distributed an online peer-review survey to certified lawyers within the metro Detroit area earlier this year to seek out excellence in the legal field. Inclusion in Top Lawyers is based solely upon one’s peer group standing and cannot be purchased.

Receiving Top Lawyers honors, followed by category of distinction, are:

  • Barbara L. Mandell: 2025 Top Lawyer in ‘Litigation–Intellectual Property’
Partner Barbara Mandell has over 35 years of experience in complex litigation. Her practice is focused on litigating, arbitrating and counseling her clients on patent, trademark and licensing matters as well as antitrust law.

  • Michael B. Stewart: 2025 Top Lawyer in ‘Intellectual Property & Patent Law’
A co-founder of the firm, master’s level engineer, and registered patent attorney, Partner Michael Stewart has over 30 years of experience as a valued strategic adviser to CEOs and senior executives across the globe.  He led the firm’s targeted recruiting campaign this year, which attracted top IP talent to Fishman Stewart from across the country and answered increased client demand with strengthened capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, chemistry, and electrical and computer arts.

In addition to DBusiness Top Lawyers accolades, the pair were included on 2024 Leading Lawyers, 2024 Michigan Super Lawyers, and 2025 Best Lawyers lists along with other attorneys from the firm.

The complete list of the 2025 DBusiness Top Lawyers can be viewed in the November/December 2024 issue.
