Mandell, a partner in the firm as well as an arbitrator, had an arbitration award confirmed on September 27, 2023, by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Hon. William C. Griesbach. The award was in Formtec v. Spherical, a multi-issue patent arbitration. Mandell presided as panel chair over the case, which was tried for three days in Chicago in the summer of 2022.
Mandell has presided over more than 60 commercial arbitrations for the American Arbitration Association, both as a solo and on a panel. The Formtec v. Spherical case was the first time she served as panel chair. In addition to alternative dispute resolution, Mandell’s thriving practice focuses on commercial litigation, copyright and trademark law and antitrust.
