The Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG) recognized Fishman Stewart Partner Doug LaLone as a recipient of the prestigious 2017 Meritorious Service Award. The award recipients were recognized at InterGrowth® 2017 in April at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to ACG, Meritorious Service Awards are given annually to members who have provided distinguished volunteer service and leadership. Doug has been an active member of ACG Detroit since 2011. He has played an active role in developing programs and committees to attract members, which helped ACG Detroit achieve record membership retention rates. Doug is currently in his second year of serving as Detroit Chapter president and chairman of the board. The ACG Detroit Chapter was also honored as “Chapter of the Year” this year and last year. No other ACG chapter has ever won these awards back-to-back.
Doug LaLone is a registered patent attorney. He serves as chair of Fishman Stewart’s Strategic IP Practice Group which counsels start-up companies, private equity, venture capital and investment banking firms on intellectual property strategies, due diligence, and portfolio management concerns. Doug has litigated over 100 intellectual property suits and he enjoys working with creative clients to build patent and trademark portfolios.
