Fishman Stewart announces addition of seasoned attorneys Kimberly McLean and Tracy Zawaski

Troy, Mich.—June 27, 2024—Intellectual property specialty law firm Fishman Stewart PLLC, is pleased to announce the expansion of their firm with the addition of two experienced attorneys, Kimberly McLean and Tracy Zawaski. The announcement was made by Michael Stewart, managing partner of Fishman Stewart.

McLean focuses on patent prosecution and counseling in the electrical arts, including technology areas of software, cloud computing, blockchain, multimedia systems and applications, autonomous vehicles, and more. As a former primary patent examiner, she has knowledge of the inside workings of the Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) and understands how to achieve success with the PTO. She is admitted to the State Bar of Maryland. Outside of her work as an attorney, she is an engaged member of the Junior League of Baltimore.

Zawaski started her career as an associate attorney at Fishman Stewart and is pleased to return.

Her practice focuses primarily on trademarks, copyrights and computer law. For nearly 25 years, she has worked extensively on domestic and international trademark prosecution and contentious matters, trademark opinions, copyrights and counseling on trade secrets and trademarks. She also offers expertise in trademark enforcement and litigation, license agreements, and brand enforcements, among other trademark and IP law practices.

Zawaski is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar, Illinois Bar, S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Michigan Bar, and S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. She is a member of Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC), Chicago Bar Association and Chicago Women in IP (ChiWIP). Outside of her law practice, she enjoys spending her spare time volunteering with pet rescues, engaging in community nonprofits and gardening.
